About

I’m an Australian photographer from the north coast of NSW. Shooting landscapes is a way for me to connect to the land and still the mind.

When you look through the lens of the camera, you experience the landscape – it can shift from movement to stillness. In a meditative state, we experience the mind through the lens of a high state of consciousness – that can shift from movement to stillness.

Much like the philosophy of the yin and yang in Taoism, it seems that nature expresses itself through these polarities.

For me, the act of observing through the lens always brings a calm state of mind and the photographs I capture tend to reflect those moments. I print at large scale sizes so the viewer can get close to that experience.

I usually shoot tight compositions that capture the transitional areas between environments, abstracting the marks and gestures that Mother Nature creates.
